Texts From Last Night

Tone got wasted last night and here are the texts I received from her:

And I quote...

1:31am: "Omg I'm so fucking watsged" - my translation... Well Tone is drinking and obviously (1) can't spell and (2) forgot she gave up swearing for the New Year

My sober reply: "Haha yay! Still at the bar? And watch your mouth!"

1:34am: "Yeah girl stepehns ury was theremmawkawars tqwn!" - my translation... I was actually quite proud of myself to figure this one out. She meant to say 'Yeah girl Stephen Sury was there. Awkward town!'... I'm pretty sure, haha.

My sober reply: "Haha and we are bfffs cause I actually understood that Haha"

1:52am: "Ummm I just saw scptt shcaffer and nope salor... o fuck" - my translation... basically she ran into some toolbags from high school, no surprise since she goes to Kutztown... and again with the swearing. Tone!

My sober reply: "Be careful not to absorb the "tool" from them.. It may be contagious"

1:55am: "Omg...I'm gonna pee my pants...haha omg I spelled that all right... holy sjit I'm still going oppsm" - my translation... this is just a drunk girl excited about the fact that she can still text properly until.. oh wait... she actually can't

My sober reply: "Haha I love you"

1:56am: "No I love uuu.."

1:57am: "Am I keeping uawake or do u think ull talk to me when I catch the shutlehg"

1:59am: "Wle I might cally u and you'll see hoe dirnk I really am"

2:05am: "Omg I'm not sure aythinfs eever been this hialrous"

2:39am: "Omg.. me ad sam jones just broke up this fight..."

I was asleep at this point. Haha, LOVE YOU TONE!

Recap The Last Few Days

Sooo... Let me just say - these past couple days have felt sooooo insane yet I managed to keep most things in order- most. I have neglected my gym kick but I am back on track and scheduled for some Hip Hop aerobics tonight, haha. I have my very first exam a week from today so I must start preparing for that, Microbiology. I have my first lab practicums in Microbiology Wednesday and Thursday - nervous but the lab TV loves me for some reason so not too concerned. I have to finish my lab results and discussions for O Chem Lab and then continue onto my next pre lab questions and studying for Monday. I must write my report for my cardiovascular lab for Biology which I'm hearing is not that intense so I'm hoping to get that started and finished tonight while on duty. BioChem... well that is in the same category as Physics... may be a lost cause but I'm going to do my best to get caught up (as much I can) in BioChem and hope that I understand 25% of it (realistic goals here). And Physics - well I am hoping to try to do a lot of the homework on my own before I get help Sunday night and I must do the recitation since my group is worse than me at Physics and my TA is about as helpful as a rock (well a rock could work as a paperweight...so... I don't know about that).

Besides school...life. Well there is a big one. Like mentioned previously I have not been working out as much as my body needs so I need to get started on that. I am still working in a negative correlation; however, it is more of a tiny little plateau in the negative direction and I'm ready for some large declines. So working out more is a must. Food.. there is another one. However, after an "experience" I had yesterday, things may turn around on their own. Family is great. Friends are MORE than great like ALWAYS. I am venturing to Filth-phadelphia next Friday (sorry Kimmy, I love Philly when you are in it though!) for KIMMY's 21ST BIRTHDAY. I am sooooo excited to see her and Tone. THEN Valentine's weekend they are visiting me here. So I must take advantage of this last weekend of study time and then make the best out of my time management for the next two weeks so I can really enjoy myself the next couple weekends. Okay so my experience...

Yesterday I was just calmly sitting in my room and getting some work taken care of when I just turn on our movie channel. A documentary type movie was on so I just left it on while I finished up my work. Next thing I know I am literally gasping at the television when I see the brutal murder of dolphins in this cove in Taiji, Japan. It is called "The Cove" and it basically was a co-op mission to film this footage that has been unseen for years. It is horribly tragic, and I want it to stop. And now I am having trouble eating things that I know can bleed. It sounds stupid - especially from a science student like me- but I never thought about dolphins bleeding such a rich red color like humans. When you see all of the blood and the dolphins suffering that will eventually be sold as food (disguised as rare whale meat) - it changes your food decisions. So for now, I think I'm going to stray from eating things that bleed. -- Check out the link

So now I am just going to do all of the previously mentioned tasks, go to the gym more, anticipate next weekend, study for my test, and not eat things that bled when killed for food.

Until next time --

Confession

I had some bits of wings tonight and a peppermint patty. :-( I'm trying though! I promise. I'm so excited to work out tomorrow morning and calorie killer at night. My day was INTENSE. Physics lab 8-10, Micro class 11-12, Chem lab 1-4, Bio lab 6-9. Wow. I am intense. However, I am watching some tv relaxing and a preview came on for Dear John (yes, still obsessed) and it said that it is the same producer as Twilight Saga....soooo it only got me more excited :-) YAY! Tone is blogging regularly so I'm excited. She is always so enlightening :-) And Kimmy got me into her Tumblr account so I always have new fun things to read. I love them.

So much. Sooo much better than any boy that has come and go in my life, or stuck around for a couple years. I was talking to someone the other day about how I feel like best friends, true best friends, are just like true loves. Like they always say when you meet that person that you are meant to spend the rest of your life with- you know it. Well, I feel like it is just like that with true friends. I think when you finally get close to those people that are meant to be in your life until you are 80 years old- you know it. And I know that Kimmy and Tone are "the ones" :-)

So to my true loves :-) LOVE YOU!

Well, it is for sure bed time now. Nice day tomorrow - got to get my Physics done but after that just some normal work to do. I finally have the weekend to just relax and do NOTHING. I am so excited.

It wasn't over. It still isn't over.

My new sweater and headband :-) Getting ready to head out for my PSU friend Kara's 21st birthday. I have class 8 am until 9 pm tomorrow. This should be interesting... Let you know tomorrow!!! Ohhh and on the fitness front - I realized this weekend I need to work out wayyyy more and stop eating candy :-/ its my weakness. I kicked the soda - its OUT. Now candy/chocolate (except pudding)/fried foods (maybe still chicken finger wraps... that will be next... maybe)... I'm trying. Still no visible results but I can feel my body loving me for the no soda so body - you are welcome. Now onto my fitness and stop eating because I'm bored.

Well it looks as though today was a better day - figuring I did nothing but wake up, go to the gym, go to two classes, and lay around. Work must get done now though.

This is a rant. I apologize ahead of time.

I am tired. So tired. I haven't been able to get to sleep easily recently and I need to get to the bottom of it and fix it. I had to get up at 6:30 today to shower and get ready for my 8 am physics recitation where I was partnered up with a Russian and a China man who both had extremely intense accents that made it very difficult. And I was rushed through the activity because it went over time and I had Micro Bio lab right after and couldn't be late. Soooo then in Micro lab we looked at our streak plates from Friday and mine looks fabulous lots of E.coli and M.leutus for me to create my pure cultures!!! We also had to observe our agar and broth cultures of E.coli, M.leutus and soil - all of which turned out as expected. So that was good. Created a pour culture of some more nasty bacteria. During all of this - smelled like vomit... it was just great, haha. Took a trip to the post office and picked up some stamps to get back on my letter sending adventures. Then I went to Micro Bio lecture and learned MORE about cells. I finally just have a break long enough to eat and blog then off to my 3 HOUR organic chemistry lab with a biological twist. An hour and a half later I will be learning about how I have to perform surgical acivities on rats and frogs this semester. I'd rather do cats than rats but what can I do -should be exciting... I will take pictures and post secretly for you all :-) THEN, I have to hurry back because I have super group at 7pm ( lab ends at 6:50). I will be late and I'm a Saggitarius so I will hate it. I had all intentions of going to the gym after all of this but I'm going to go twice tomorrow to make up for me. I am tired. I need to go to sleep by 10 tonight.

What did you do today so far? Haha

Lively Up Yourself and Kick some ASS

So, today was VERY productive and it is still early. I woke up (slept through my alarm for my first gym session which was a bummer but I obviously needed to sleep so I took that as a sign) and went to physics office hours to get some help on homework. I then went to my biochem class and physics, came home - ate lunch (decently healthy and delicious) and FINISHED my physics homework - on my own - such an accomplishment. Hopefully every Tuesday I can say that. Then I intended on going to Calorie Killer but it was full so Kick Boxing it was - not too bummed about that. Tonight I have plenty of reading to do for tomorrow and then BIGGEST LOSER/MCAT time haha... its hard getting on the MCAT train but I'm queued so its just a matter of time. Then it will be nonstop until May 21st.

I miss you friends :-( sooooo much! Haha, but hopefully we will be reunited soon.

I still have a strong obession for Dear John - its what happened with the Time Traveler's Wife as well... books have that power.

I will be posting an update about Biggest Loser when it is over so prepare for THAT!

Hello Again Blog World

Sorry for the disappearance there... in a nutshell this is what I have done since I've last blogged... I have eaten decently (a couple splurges and not as much working out but still managed to lose a couple pounds this week so I can only imagine the success I will have when I get hard core on track), I have not touched soda or even thought about it, I have spent hours watching movies, I spent a couple days with one of my BFFFs, I have hated boys as much as I always have, and I have gotten things in order for my intense week again. This is my game face:

Its on bitches. Haha.

Today so far I have accomplished some laundry, some physics, washed my make up brushes, hung up stall stories and that's about all. It has been wonderful. This week is going to be intense but I'm excited about getting back into the routine of things. Classes are going to be very difficult but manageable.

That is really all I have for now. I may feel inspired later - we shall see.

My progress thus far. I am happy with the negative correlation :-) Hopefully it stays that way!! I will have to start putting lots of work into it but why not, I want a slamming body so I'll work for it. I'm a Sagittarius and this is starting to become something I have aiming for - just have to release the arrow.

Biggest Loser Review and Reflection

So I am currently blogging while watching the Biggest Loser. I have watched this show for as long as I can remember, and as a medical student I LOVE the episode where they go over what the weight is doing to the bodies internally - obviously. I mean, its rude to say that I find comfort in the fact that things are that bad in me; however, it is definitely a possibility of what could happen if something doesn't change. And why not now?! I just turned 21, I'm super hot and going (hopefully!) to medical school next year. AND this summer I (hopefully!) will be working in a hospital. SOOO I want to look super hot. I already feel super hot- my body just doesn't reflect that. So I got to just DO IT! Hopefully my personal next weigh in shows some results. I confess - I did not go to the gym as planned today but tomorrow I should be able to get there for a little bit after my super long day :-/ buuuutttt for surely my schedule will be as planned next week and its preee-ty intense so if I follow that the weight should just shed off and muscle should just stock onto my arms, back, and abs :-) I think I'm going reward myself with a hair cut at spring break if I show progress!! I need it bad. Haha and its funny how I'm doing my "diet". Since one of my BFFFFs is also working on improving her quality of life, when I go to eat something I just think "Would Tone be mad if I told her I ate this?" LOVE YOU!

Wow... that was sad

Soooo second day of classes. So far, so good. Its going to be a TON of work but nothing I can't handle. However, if I do what I did today the rest of the semester, we will have a problem. So instead of doing all of the things I had planed from 2 until 6, I decided that reading "Dear John" was more important. When I read a book its like watching a movie. You wouldn't watch a movie at 5 minute increments, would you? So why do that with a book. So I laid in my bed and I read the book. My review: it was gut renchingly horribly epically tradgic. God damn you Nicholas Sparks.

Yes... that is a legit tear.

"Think you'll be getting this nah, nah, nah."

First day of school. Luckily 3 of my 4 classes were canceled today due to the MLK holiday and them ALL being labs :-( Only one class today and dropped 30$ on pieces of paper for Microbiology and Physics. Blah. Other than that I had a good morning - woke up, went to the gym for an hour (did some cardio and some mat stuff), came back, read the paper, ate a good breakfast, took a shower, and got ready to go! As promised below is a chart of my progress (or lack there of right now) that I will post every Monday. It includes my current weight and the target weight by the summer.

So there's that one! The rest of my day will consist of organizing my school stuff, a meeting at 5:30 with the floor, and going to bed early! I'm supposed to go out with friends tomorrow at midnight but my 8 am on Wednesday isn't making that look like its going to happen :-/ we'll see!

I was pepper sprayed.

Yes. It is true. Here is the story...

I was laying in my bed trying to be interested in Youth and Revolt - wasn't really doing it for me- when I heard the trash ladies in the hallway coughing. Thinking nothing of it but a simple 'Hey, are you guys alright?' I continued watching my movie. All of a sudden I got a surge into my lungs. It felt like tiny little bugs were crawling around my esophagus into my bronchi. Crazy. I began to cough uncontrollably. My eyes watered. I thought I was coughing up blood. I got out of my bed and went for the window. Opening it I felt the immediate rush of artic blast from outside. I went down the hallway to be able to breath. Coming back, I asked the cleaning ladies what it was. They pulled out a small aerosol container. Being an owner of it myself, I knew it was pepper spray. In a freak event the way that they jostled the trash it set the thing off. I was supposed to be in my room from 12-2 today, so I called my coordinator, "Laurie, uh... pepper spray was accidentally set off and I'm having trouble breathing. May I leave my room?" Haha...

So much for my completely relaxing day... but it made a good story.

Look at my white teeth! (Thank you Listerine Pre-Rinse)

So... last night was fabulous. I stayed up until 3 watching movies: Made of Honor, The Lovely Bones, and Up in the Air. My review of the new ones - Up in the Air was amazing. I mean it was a lot different than what I thought and a lot different than what you expect buuuut it was a truly amazing movie with some great revelations and life lessons. See it soon. The Lovely Bones was actually better than I thought. A friend told me the other day that she hated it so I was a bit skeptical. However, it stayed true the book (which is something many movies from books are NOT doing - My Sister's Keeper, The Time Traveler's Wife) which was important. And although at times it was kind of weird, it did stay consistent throughout. I would suggest it if you read the book.

Todays plan is to just relax. My intense schedule starts tomorrow and although I am excited for class, its going to be a lot of work. I am going to spend this semester on me. I have a lot personally to work on and accomplish so I'm going to focus on that.

It is 12:30 and I have greeted some residents back to the floor, showered, and now am eating my Raisin Bran Crunch for breakfast/lunch. I will be having a glass of Simply Apple soon - thanks Tone, haha. Next Sunday will be the beginning of my church adventure - we'll see how that goes. I just need to have some consistency this semester - last semester was a mess.

until next time --

YAYYYY For Blogging

These are my best friends. They are the best. I feel the need to showcase them because they are amazing. Tone (center) is a fellow blogger - the main blogger. She has had a blog for a while - she is the writer, the creative imagination. Kimmy (right) is an Aquarius. She goes with the flow but has her own very busy, impressive lifestyle that I admire. The three of us are pretty much awesome together.

This is me. Right now. I know, gorgeous- right? I will be posting pictures to see if I can notice any change in my face/body through this healthy me transformation. And probably pictures of my friends because I love them and like looking at their faces- so should you!!

Today was a pretty good day so far. I am supposed to be getting ready for the movies; however, I need a night to myself. So I am going to sit back with some great movies, paint my nails, and SLEEP. I start working out on Monday so I decided that's when I will start tracking possibly my work outs, my weight, and my confessions.

So far so good --

This is really happening.

2010 Resolutions:

-Quit Facebook
This is a resolution that came suddenly but needed to be done. I got sick of wasting my time being curious about other's lives. I have my best friends who care for me and I care for, and although it will be upsetting not watching my fellow graduates get knocked up and get married, it is for the best. It has already been almost 4 weeks without it and I feel great!
-Take My Contacts Out At Night
This is a given. I have horrible eyes quid pro quo I should take my contacts out at night.
-Get Healthy
Obviously, as a popular resolution, getting healthy is important. This is the year that it needs to happen. I'm trying to eat fresh foods when I can, work out often, lose weight, and gain muscle.
-Prepare for MCATS
I have to take the MCATS on May 21st at 8 am. I have 132 days to prepare.
-No More Soda
So this one should be in the 'get healthy' category; however, it is a big one for me so I'm highlighting it. Soda is a chemical that we put into our bodies. No more.
-Save $
I am broke. I need to start managing and saving my money.

So with that being said, this blog is going to be used to not only keep me in check with my resolutions and goals, but also keep my best friends updated about what I am doing!

Until next time --
